For snorkeling take the Seahorse Catamaran trip which leaves from the Atlantis Marina and takes you to a small reef off a nearby island, about a 45 minute trip, it was pretty good. As for snorkeling without the chance of encountering sharks, I really dont know where you got this idea, unless maybe you are talking about snorkeling in the lagoon there on the resort property, which wouldn't be much of a snorkeling adventure all i saw in that lagoon was a sand bottom and a few small fish. Atlantis is amazing for the reasons you stated, water rides, architecture, decor, fish (exhibits). Melissa, I had made a few comments in a post below, but will be glad to try and help answer your questions here. Also, do you think the Atlantis will ever go all-inclusive? If you know of another place (I have been reading about Discovery Cove at Sea World this summer) that you can snorkel and enjoy the water without the threat of being eaten, please let me know. It has kept me from snorkeling in Jamaica. Mostly I would like to go to Atlantis because of the many pools and water activities (without having to worry about sharks and stingrays, etc.) I do have a shark phobia. We don't gamble, so we would probably only use the slot machines some. Also I want to swim with the dolphins so that will be added to the total cost along with the video tape. Please tell me about the meal plans they offer and about how much I can expect to pay total (rooms, food, miscellaneous) - without airfaire for myself, my husband, and my 4 year son. However, I have been reading some posts here about the overcharges, rudeness, and the expensive restaurants. Plus you can snorkel without having to worry about shark attacks somewhere. Hi, I have been reading about Atlantis and the resort seems to be amazing - I love water and it seems to have a lot of water rides, etc.
